HPA's Purpose

The Harlequin Pinscher Association, herein known as the "HPA",  was founded in 2007 for the sole purpose of establishing a Registry in which to register, document and database pedigrees of 7+ documented generations of  patterned Miniature Pinschers, known as Harlequin Pinschers,  and the purebred Miniature Pinschers used in an HPA breeding program.

While the dogs used to reach the 7th Generation of documented development of the Harlequin Pinscher were originally databased in the American Pedigree Registry files they are also in the HPA database now.

HPA is the only approved registry for Harlequin Pinschers by the Founding Breeder.

HPA has the only database back to the original Run-N-Ridge founding dogs of the re-developed Harlequin Pinscher.
Only HPA can give you the True Accurate Certified Pedigrees back to the founding Harlequin Pinschers with the true Run-N-Ridge bloodlines.

HPA is dedicated to maintaining a true and accurate database of the Harlequin Pinscher as well as preserving the health of the breed through recommended genetic testing.

HPA does not charge Membership Fees.  Ethical Breeders are granted Registration Privileges.

Beware of Registries doing these things

Permanent Board Positions

Board Over-riding Majority Member Votes

Board Over-riding Majority Member Votes

A Non-Profit which claims to be established for the Benefit of the Members should NEVER have a self-appointed Permanent Board.

Members should determine who they wish to lead them if they are paying Membership Fees.

A board should NEVER be allowed to over-ride the Decision of the Majority of the Voting Members.

Contradicting By-laws

Read your Association By-Laws, Constitution, Policies and/or Operation Procedures carefully.

We have already discovered some have  Contradicting Information in more than one area.

Total Board Control of a Non-Profit who charge Membership Fees

Contradicting By-laws

Membership Fees should allow that Member to join and have their Vote Count at an Annual Meeting.

It should not be up to a self-appoointed Board to determine who can become a Voting Member - That is a job that should be left to the Current Voting Membership.

A Majority Membership Vote should NEVER be allowed to be Over-Rode by a Self-Appointed Board.

I just have to say IMHO this is wrong in so many ways.

Please know who your doing Business with.

You might find with just a little Research that they aren't who you think they are.
